Customer Brief:
Warmco installed an energy efficient warehouse heating system for JHS & Company in January 2022. John Hornby Skewes and Company, commissioned Warmco to install three Winterwarm EH30, suspended, electric heaters and one EH40 electric heater into this 7,000 sq. ft. older, traditionally constructed warehouse unit.
Features of the Heating System:
This area which was going to be used for the ‘picking and packing’ of musical instruments had limited insulation and needed localised heating to keep employees warm. The space had previously been heated using natural gas. The main issue for our client was that they were looking to reduce their carbon footprint. So they decided to switch to electric heaters powered by electricity from renewable sources. Also, our modulating heaters will automatically switch to low fire once the thermostat reads that the area has reached the set temperature. So in this case our EH30 goes from 30kw down to 10, and the EH40 from 40kw down to 20 automatically. This feature creates a fuel saving of up to 30% on fuel costs, compared to non-modulating heaters. Another advantage of these heaters was that they are very compact. At 570mm (w) x 515mm (d) x 490 mm (h), the EH30 is easily hung from roof purlins or sat on fixed wall brackets; saving valuable space on the floor. The whole warehouse heating system was completed within three days, and we were careful to ensure that we did not impede our customer’s access for picking products.
